Early in the morning after a rejuvenating swim in the pool, or later in the day, because when you’re on vacation it’s nice to take it easy! Regardless, breakfast is an important time and should be taken care of in every detail, starting with the table.
A well-set table is a delight to the eye, makes people feel comfortable, truly welcomed, and amplifies the pleasure of breakfast. There are so many elements to play with when setting the table-fabrics, ceramics, crystal, cutlery and centerpieces-and the watchwords are beauty, balance and harmony.
After careful research, we chose our style: sophisticated yet functional, with contrasting elements that differ from table to table.
To dress the tables, we made long underlays whose patterns echo the fabrics that furnish the house. We love floral patterns, which we often combine with the wonderful striped fabrics of Eger (Mussolente – Vicenza). Tablecloths and napkins are strictly cotton, white and neatly ironed, embroidered or with a simple open stitch.
Hand-decorated ceramic plates, bowls, saucers, and cups are the real decorating element thanks to their bright patterns and colors. We favor floral decorations by Solimene (Vietri sul Mare) and original and fun ceramics by De Simone (Catania), and juxtapose them with unique pieces from local antique markets.
A long-stemmed goblet for juices is accompanied by a glass of thick colored glass for water, and the cutlery is silver-plated.
Plus fine ceramic sugar bowls, serving coffee pots, crystal teapots and pitchers, and a bouquet of fresh seasonal flowers.
